On World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2021, we think of all those who are suffering in silence.
Close to one billion people have a mental disorder and anyone, anywhere can be affected. Globally, it is estimated that 5% of adults suffer from depression.
Mental health is a reality and an illness which we must all recognize and take seriously. We must treat people suffering with depression with empathy and respect. At AML we take mental health seriously and do our best to support our employees and seafarers. Let’s encourage anyone who is suffering and needs support to reach out for help because we care and are here to listen.

“Remember: With the right support, you can get better – so if you think you might be depressed seek help”
