AML is looking to hire a full-time Maritime Senior Executive to join the company, due to its growing clientele. This is a demanding and exciting position that provides the right applicant with prospects for advancement within the organization. The individual will be employed in the company’s operations and registration divisions in Malta, collaborating closely with the Managing Director.
Duties
Some of the responsibilities assigned to the position are:
- Registering ships and yachts under the Malta Flag
- Filing applications for Malta Flag endorsements
- Assistance with crew recruitment and placement
- Yacht importation in Malta
- Internal auditing and maintaining company’s MLC SRPS licence
- Communicating with captains and owner’s vessel representatives
- Negotiating and placing orders with suppliers
- Boarding vessels in Malta
- Market research and business development
Experience and Skills required
The successful candidate needs to possess the following pre-requisite skills and experience:
- Officer in Charge of a Navigational or Engineering watch licence or shipping qualification or have a legal background with in-depth shipping knowledge
- Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Excellent planning and monitoring skills
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Be a team player
