A highly respected maritime lawyer, Anndrea is exceptionally well-known within the yachting and shipping sectors. Bringing her to lead our legal function is an exciting milestone for us, and her depth of expertise and strategic vision will play a vital role as we continue to strengthen our overall team and steer the company into its next chapter.
About Dr. Anndrea Moran
Anndrea holds a Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from the University of Malta and a Master’s Degree in International Maritime Law (LL.M) from the International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI), established under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United Nations.
Throughout her distinguished career, Anndrea has built a strong reputation advising both local and international clients across a wide range of specialized areas, including:
– Yachting & Maritime Operations: Expert guidance on vessel registration under the Malta flag, yacht administration, and tailor-made solutions for asset acquisitions.
– Commercial & Financial Transactions: Structuring vessel mortgages, securing interests for mortgagees/mortgagors, and handling corporate restructurings.
– Maritime Labor & Compliance: Specialist advice on seafarer employment, import/export regulations, VAT, and anti-money laundering procedures.
– Residence & Investment: Advising international clients on residence and citizenship applications under Maltese law.
Beyond her practical experience, Anndrea is an active figure in the maritime legal community. She serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Malta Maritime Law Association (MMLA) and is a member of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP) and the Maltese Bar Association. She is also fluent in Maltese, English, Italian, and French.
