Today we take the time acknowledge and thank our Seafarers, outlining the risks of life while working at sea, particularly, in high-risk areas and places of conflict. Despite all this, they continue to be absolutely essential in keeping our world trade flowing and providing a contribution to us that goes unnoticed, underscored and unacknowledged on a daily basis.
This year, the Day of the Seafarer 2026 focuses on “Carrying World Trade. Carrying the Risks”, highlighting the hardships, pressures and continued risks of life at sea.
We celebrate our seafarers, and will continue to recognise their efforts and resilience, while supporting them throughout these troubling and volatile times. Our thoughts are with you.
Thank you to all seafarers.
