Due to our expanding business, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full time basis. This is an exciting and challenging role which offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to have hands on experience on the diverse portfolio of services which the company offers.
Duties Include
- Maintaining the accounts of the company
- Payroll preparation
- Handling clients’ accounts
- Client billing
- Creditors management
- Payments
- Preparation of VAT returns and VAT recapitulative statements
- Bank and monthly reconciliations
- Preparation of management accounts and reporting
- Preparation of accounts for external financial audits
- Liaising with external auditors
- Assistance with KYC tasks
- Other administrative duties
Education
- A Level in Accounting
- Minimum experience of 2 years in an accounting environment
- Preference shall be given to candidates partly ACCA qualified
Skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Analytical and meticulous
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Work independently and on own initiative
- Team player
- Willing to learn and open to new challenges
- Knowledge of Shireburn accounting software shall be considered an asset
